The first day of kindegarten was more of an orientation than much else. It was a half day. We met our teachers, found our cubbies, and learned the way to the gym, cafeteria, and library. I can't remember if we took naps or not, but I do remember cookies and orange juice. Cause really, cookies and orange juice?
At the end of our half day, we watched The Ugly Duckling on an old projector. You know the story. The brownish, blackish, grayish ugly duck is continuously teased until he become a beautiful white swan.
But not this "duck." Not No1KState. I've never been ugly.
